Peter Donegan talks about his career in garden landscape design
Peter Donegan launched his garden landscape design practice in 2001 and has since gone on to become a highly recognised designer working around the globe.
He was selected to represent Ireland to design and realise a Centenary Peace Garden at Château de Péronne in 2018 to mark one hundred years since the end of the First World War.
He’s often seen on TV screens in Ireland as the series garden designer for RTE’s DIY SOS – The Big Build.
In 2023, he became the first Irish landscape architect to be invited to design at the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show where he won a Gold Medal for The Bam Stone Garden.
Peter is regularly cited as one of the best garden designers working in Ireland and the United Kingdom and as he tells Ken his clients split about fifty-fifty into those that know what they want and those who want Peter to produce a design from his ideas.
