An appreciation of epimediums – evergreen and able to grow in the shade

Epimedium, - warleyense.

Ken Crowther talks to Dave Sisley from Straight Mile Nursery Garden at the Early Spring Show and Plant Fair hosted by Alpine Garden Society.

Post a comment below about a plant you have breed from, how did that work out? >>>

Dave says: “They are a very useful plant. There aren’t many perennials that are evergreen and will grow in the shade.”

Dave breeds new varieties of epimediums and he’s pleased with his most recent addition he says: “[Sparkler] Is one of my introductions and it first flowered on November 5, so that’s why i called it Sparkler.”
