Ken Crowther demonstrates buddleja pruning with a hand saw

Purple buddleja flowers.

Pruning buddleja needs to happen at the start of spring once the plant begins to grow. This is because it is a resilient and fast grower and failure to keep control of a buddleja can lead to it getting out of control.

Ken gives a demonstration of how he sets about pruning back a buddleja.
