Ken Crowther looks at the best way to care for and prune back a climbing or rambling rose during winter. He has a special pro-gardener tip for all those on the look out for how to take the best care of an established plant in colder weather.

A rambling rose usually blooms once during a summer, while a climbing rose will produce blooms right across the summer season and sometimes larger individual flowers.
